the assets of Acuity Bank Sheboygan Branch a subsidiary of Acuity have been acquired by First Manitowoc Bancorp Inc. MERTZ ASSOCIATES acted as advisor to Acuity in preparing offering materials, contacting potential acquirers, evaluating competing indications of interest, structuring the transaction and participating in negotiations.

• ACUITY BANK is a full-service state savings and loan association with seven locations in Monroe, Adams, Juneau and Sheboygan counties. The Bank employs approximately 50 people and has total assets of over $180 million.
   
• ACUITY, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is a leading writer of property and casualty coverage for consumers and businesses. The company operates in 16 states and writes more than $800 million in premium revenue through more than 750 independent agencies.
   
• FIRST MANITOWOC BANCORP, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, through its sole subsidiary, First National Bank in Manitowoc, is an independent community bank, founded in 1894 with 14 locations in Manitowoc, Brown, Calumet and Sheboygan counties. The bank employs approximately 250 people and has assets of $688 million.
