the assets of Apache Plastics, Inc. have been acquired by CertainTeed Corporation a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain MERTZ ASSOCIATES introduced the parties in this transaction.

• APACHE PLASTICS, INC., Lodi & Santa Ana, California, is a pipe manufacturer serving the irrigation, plumbing, do-it-yourself and specialty markets with PVC and ABS extruded plastic pipe. Apache employs approximately 120 people.
   
• CERTAINTEED CORPORATION is a leading manufacturer of building materials (insulation; roofing; vinyl siding; windows and fencing; ventilation products and piping products) and fiber glass products for reinforcing plastics and other materials. The company has approximately 6,000 employees and 40 manufacturing facilities throughout North America. This acquisition will allow CertainTeed to expand its specialty pipe and fencing products in the western United States.
