the assets of Anderson Power Products Inc. a division of High Voltage Engineering Corp. have been acquired by IDEAL Industries, Inc. MERTZ ASSOCIATES acted as advisor to IDEAL in designing an acquisition search program, contacting potential sellers, evaluating proposals and participating in negotiations.

• ANDERSON POWER PRODUCTS INC. (APP), Sterling, Massachusetts, was founded in 1877 and is an industry leader in modular connectors and housings. Current markets and applications include uninterruptible power supplies, telecommunications, data communications, electric-powered vehicles and office panel electrification. APP maintains design, customer support and manufacturing facilities in Sterling, Massachusetts and Fermoy, Ireland. APP has approximately 140 employees.
   
• HIGH VOLTAGE ENGINEERING CORP. (HVE), Wakefield, Massachusetts, owns and operates a diversified group of middle-market, technology based manufacturing businesses that focus on designing and manufacturing high quality, applications-engineered products.
   
• IDEAL INDUSTRIES INC., Sycamore, Illinois, is a leader in the design, production and sale of electrical and data communication tools and supplies, serving the electrical and industrial markets. IDEAL manufactures over 6,000 products including a complete line of wire connectors, terminal strips, tools, and test and measurement equipment.
