the assets of Autotrol Corporation have been acquired by Gateshead Partners, L.P. MERTZ ASSOCIATES advised and assisted Autotrol in preparing offering materials, designing a marketing program, contacting potential purchasers, evaluating proposals and participating in negotiations with the purchaser.

• AUTOTROL CORPORATION, Crystal Lake, Illinois, is a niche manufacturer of sub-fractional horsepower electric gearmotors sold primarily to OEMs in the consumer appliance and industrial controls industries, among others. Autotrol employs approximately 150 and had grown its sales more than 50 percent over the two years prior to the sale.
   
• GATESHEAD PARTNERS, L.P., Doylestown, Pennsylvania, is a recently formed private equity group focused on acquiring industrial manufacturing companies and providing the resources to grow existing businesses. Autotrol is its first platform company.
