a controlling interest in Independent, Inc. have been acquired by Bradford Equities Management, LLC MERTZ ASSOCIATES the undersigned advised and assisted the shareholders of Independent Inc. in this transaction.

• INDEPENDENT, INC., DePere, Wisconsin, specializes in high-quality printing, fulfillment and custom web-based solutions to meet customers’ marketing communication needs. Independent also produces a line of custom presentation folders and business checks. With 215 employees, annual sales are approaching $24 million.
   
• BRADFORD EQUITIES MANAGEMENT, LLC, White Plains, New York, is a private equity group investing in and building high-quality middle-market companies. In partnership with management, Bradford plans to support Independent through strategic growth and acquisition initiatives.
