selected assets of the Ohio Division of Great Lakes Calcium Corporation have been acquired by National Lime & Stone Company MERTZ ASSOCIATES acted as advisor to Great Lakes Calcium Corporaton in analyzing the company, evaluating its alternatives and participating in negotiations.

• GREAT LAKES CALCIUM CORPORATION, Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a privately held corporation that processes high calcium limestone. Its primary markets are industrial (boiler treatment/pollution abatement and fillers) and agricultural feed (for various animals) and fertilizer.
   
• NATIONAL STONE & LIME COMPANY, Findlay, Ohio, founded in 1903, is one of the major producers of crushed stone in the United States. National manufactures a wide variety of products for the nation’s infrastructure and a number of basic industries. Other major uses of National’s products include agricultural and lawn care applications; environmental remediation; and acid neutralization and pollution control. They are also key ingredients in industrial fillers and sound-deadening products used by the automotive and roofing industries.
