the stock of Systemation Engineered Products, Inc. has been acquired by Robotic Vision Systems, Inc. in a tax-free reorganization accounted for as a pooling of interests valued at approximately $24 million MERTZ ASSOCIATES acted as advisor to the shareholders of Systemation in preparing materials, evaluating proposals, negotiating and structuring the transaction.

• SYSTEMATION ENGINEERED PRODUCTS, INC., New Berlin, Wisconsin, is a world leader in tape-and-reel as well as tube and tray based component processing systems for the semiconductor and electronics industries. Systemation posted revenues of approximately $29 million and net income of approximately $1.5 million.
