the assets of The Woodworking Division of Bemis Manufacturing Company have been acquired by Snow River Wood Products MERTZ ASSOCIATES acted as advisor to Bemis Manufacturing Company in designing a selling program, preparing offering materials, contacting potential purchasers and evaluating proposals.

• WOODWORKING DIVISION, Crandon, Wisconsin, manufactures products including wooden cutting boards for third party customers and wooden toilet seats for Bemis Manufacturing Company. The division also provides contract manufacturing of wooden products for a variety of OEM customers. The division employed roughly 70 and reported sales over $7 million.
   
• BEMIS MANUFACTURING COMPANY, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, is a privately owned company that manufactures and markets a variety of proprietary consumer products as well as custom products for other OEMs. Bemis is a major North American molder and extruder of diverse captive and custom plastic products, using engineering-grade thermoplastics and commodity resins. As a proprietary molder, Bemis is the world’s largest manufacturer of toilet seats. As a custom molder, Bemis is among North America’s top non-automotive producers of contract plastic injection-molded, profile-extruded, and compression-molded components. • SNOW RIVER WOOD PRODUCTS, Brattleboro, Vermont, is a privately owned company that manufactures and supplies high-quality hardwood kitchenware to retailers and consumers in the United States, Europe and Asia. Its product line includes hardwood bowls, food preparation and serving boards, wine racks and elegant buffet ware. Snow River manufactures over 100 unique and contemporary items.
